Wind Farm Design

Using our in house software Seren Energy can model a site to be developed, thereby lessening the time taken to gain planning permission, as well as ensuring that you get the best return out of your wind farm. Our wind farm design and planning service includes a number of features, such as:

Energy Yield and Payback

Using wind data and the turbine technical specifications, the expected ‘yield’ can be accurately calculated. This enables us to give you a clear indication of how much revenue can be expected and therefore how long the payback period will be.

Photomontages

Photomontages show how the wind turbines will look from various viewpoints. These can also be animated to demonstrate how the wind farm will look when it is operating - with moving blades, allowing us to assess and minimise the effect on a local community,  and demonstrate to local planning authorities.

Wire Frames

Wire frames can be used to see how the wind farm will look from any location, angle or height. This allows us to help you gain planning permission.

Noise Prediction

Noise calculations show the maximum noise level in the area surrounding the wind farm. The exact noise levels at any nearby property can be calculated - through careful micrositing an optimization process results in keeping the noise levels at residential properties down to a minimum.
