Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for commercial buildings

What are Energy Performance Certificates?

Energy Performance Certificates or EPC’s are helping to change our attitudes and understanding of how we use energy in buildings, and in particular how we can make them more energy efficient. They are acting as drivers to reduce company costs and reduce carbon emissions from our buildings.

An estimated 40% of the UK’s energy is consumed in buildings or during their construction! Any savings will therefore bring a significant reduction in our energy costs, and reduce emissions of carbon dioxide – the main gas responsible for causing climate change.

How can the Wales Green Business Centre help?

We are able to provide EPC’s for commercial buildings across the UK. We charge very competitive rates and offer a fast turn around time. If you require advice on your legal obligations and Energy Performance Certificates for commercial building or would like a quotation please call us on:

An EPC is produced following an energy assessment of the building and gives a rating of A to G – A being the most energy efficient. EPCs are mandatory for a range of commercial buildings. Find out whether your building needs an EPC.

An EPC looks similar to an energy efficiency label you will find on many electrical appliances and comes with a set easy to understand recommendations on how you can improve the energy efficiency of your building and save money at the same time.

How does the assessment process work?

One of our trained assessors will come and visit your building to check how energy is used. As part of the process we have produce an easy to understand checklist of all the information we will need to produce the EPC.
